Steps of a 203K FHA renovation Mortgage

Step 1 - Site Inspection

 There are seven key steps that Lake Martin Inspections follows to make sure your project goes great!

Step 2 - Cost Estimate & Preliminary Work Write-Up

We create the preliminary scope of work and estimate the cost of the project. One of the most valuable reasons for having an independent consultant such as Lake Martin Inspections is we create a detailed scope of work with estimates for costs, 

(ideally BEFORE the contractor creates his bid). 

Step 3 - Contractor Selection & Bidding

 Now is the time to bring a contractor onboard to create his bid. We make sure both the borrower and contractor navigate this stage smoothly. 

Step 4 - The Work Write-Up

When the contractor has provided his bid and we are ready to create the forms needed for the appraiser and underwriter to prepare the loan closing. 

Step 5 - Settlement of Escrow

 Congrats! The 203k loan has closed!!! WOO HOO!!! What now? Learn the 5th step of a successful 203k project which includes the settlement of escrow, monitor the renovation project and process draw requests.
